well. first off I keep being charged 5 dollars whenever it feels like it. even with recurring payments off. And I have no real knowledge of investing, but to me it seems like a savings account you don't want to withdrawal because if you do they won't give you the full amount back do to the inconvenience for them to have to get the money back from the vested. but the app layout and the vibe is laid back and it's well put together.

I continue to be impressed with this company and the execution of the website and access to my accounts. I've been a member since 2019. I'm a middle tier user and I feel like that's the sweet spot for my needs. I adore the layout of the website, the simplicity, the colors, the organization and usability in general. I'm content with the choices of the levels of risk offered and find my returns to be on par and many days better than my outside and more complicated vehicles. Excellent platform.

Well designed. Stay the course and get rich slow. Edit: With every release I would expect the some release notes. It seems the last several months just the same generic verbiage. Where's the transparency? Where's the product manager effort? Also I continue to get promotions even when I use the promotion toggle to stop receiving. Edit 2: App feels less and less valuable. Constantly pressured by promotionals and inviting friends.

The app is good. There's a lot to it that's innovative. However, the "reward earning" on this app doesn't seem to work at all. I signed up to Survey Junkie under the idea I would get $15 invested into my account if I redeemed 500 points. I used the link for it, did as told, and it's been 7 days— nothing. It doesn't even indicate if it saw what you did. I tried contacting support, but the chat randomly quit. If this isn't intentional, this needs to be fixed. I'll change my rating when it does.

When I lock my card in the app it does NOTHING! I UNINSTALL and re-download and the SAME THING is happening; I lock the card, it acknowledged its locked, I leave that page, go back to the page and see that the card is NOT LOCKED like I didnt just activate the card lock! Its completely useless to me that I can't actually utilize one of the most needed features of the app! What the heck!

EDITED TO ADD: I turned OFF automatic withdrawals, and somehow, THREE MONTHS LATER, this app is STILL taking money out of my bank account, and I cannot get that money RETURNED!!!! DO NOT USE THIS APP, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I turned off automatic withdrawals on the app, avorns STILL charged me TWICE, after turning off the auto withdrawal feature; and of course I tried withdrawing my money last month and nothing has been deposited into my bank account! Do. Not. Use...

For the last two days, I haven't been able to log in. It keeps popping up with a message saying, "Oops, something went wrong, try again in a few minutes." I've deleted and re-download the app a few times even tried logging in from the website version, but that doesn't work either. Like fix your app or let me pull my money out. I enjoyed the app since about 2021. I just don't know why it's having issues currently!

I have tried to set this app up several times but it isn't working. It goes through the "put in email , and password. Then sends a code" after I put in code it starts all over and repeat the process. I have given up on it. I have even installed and reinstalled the app. Still no change. Always has me start all over. No change. I'm glad I don't have money invested 😔 n this. Update: got contacted via email nothing has changed, it keeps sending me through same loop on app and website.

Great concept. There's "hoops" you have to jump through if you want full advantage. You cannot associate retailers on a regular or preferred basis. You have to set them up each time you make a purchase. Why? Customer service will have absolutely nothing to do with you unless you give all your information, sensitive information I might add, in an unsecure email back to them. Even when the question has absolutely nothing to do with an individual account. There will be others do this then bye bye.

Great, but could always use improvement. I really wish there were more round-up options. Rather than a 2X, 3X, 10X, it wood be nice to have a 5X and even a 20X multiplier (more options please). Earning found money is really difficult as well. It feels like that part of the App is very clunky and should be more user friendly. Other than that I am entirely satisfied.

The app works as expected and is very good to invest money. But they originally offered a nice monthly fee and raised the cost after I had a lot of money invested. For the long term they may raise the fees again and you can't do anything about it. Before you start using this app consider if it's worth the risk of having a lot of money and then having no option but paying whatever new price they want because you don't wanna deal with closing your investment account and transferring the money.

I'd deleted this app about a year ago due to the monthly subscription charge they sneak in. Like most subscribed apps when deleted, the spam emails really ramp up to get you back. I fell for one that stated it would give me x amount of dollars to come back. My fault, I'd forgotten about the hidden monthly subscription fee. Opinion: Not worth it, there's many other ways to save money that don't charge an additional fee.

I've been locked out since they updated and started charging $1/ month. Can't get a response to reopen my account. Support doesn't respond to emails. Investing is easy but hopefully you don't need assistance from the developers. I've been using it for a couple of years, before they started charging, and it's an easy way to save. I may have to move my funds since there's no support available, if I ever get access my money. Disappointed and frustrated because I trusted Acorns.

It's been well over a year and my credit union (school's first) is still not supported. I found it on the list finally but it comes up as some other bank when I select it. They've had my money for a long time and I can't (easily) get it back. Wish they'd fix it or make getting my funds out easier. I happily have it 5 stars before, now I'm just angry.

Had an account for almost a year. You could track roundups daily. Then they did a major app upgrade and roundups stopped but my monthly fee would be taken. I reached out many times to support but nothing helped and support wasn't too motivated to keep a small account like me. What's the point of having a spare change savings app when it stops saving change? So closed my account. If you're online support won't or can't help with this problem that started in October, why should I call? Beyond frustrating. If online can't fix the problem, I doubt calling will help.

I have had the app for several years now. I usually just do the recurring investment (no roud ups). The app isn't good about chosing the companies they invest in, and you have almost no say in the matter. I have been losing money my entire time having the app. it's not much considering I finally changed to a "moderately conservative" profile, but I don't see the point in saving money if I'm losing it. I use Robinhood and invest in reliable etfs, and I have made WAY more money.

A good app, for most people. it's a very sound idea and I absolutely love the concept. I wrote a harsh review previously but modified it to better suit how I really feel. The app is clean, simple, and very very easy to use, and the auto investment makes it easy to manage at what ever risk level you wish. On aggressive I lost more than the overall market lost but it was very short term not the long haul that Acorns is built for.

A Google user

I would not recommend this app for short term (1-3 year) investments. the cost of this app is about $1 per month, of which, i have yet to see recovered from their investment performance. The concept of this app is brilliant, however as a way to build short term savings, you are better off putting your money in a high interest yeilding savings account.

A Google user

Not worth the fees over other easy investment applications. Try canceling, so far in the app, I don't see anyway to cancel or request it. Still trying too, and its amazing they explain all the things really well if you withdrawal your money without noting if you've taken a loss and paid fees so you're not going to get any tax and I didn't see how to pay into the app pre tax so some info about taxable income didn't make sense to me. I'm sure it's just me though....

Better hope you never want to close your account because I'm trying to close mine and it's been so unreasonably aggravating I sure as hell won't be back if I ever changed my mind. The button is either hidden and I have yet to find it or is non-existant. Contacted support and sent me in a circle with a link that doesn't lead me to closing my account, just the home page. Looked through the small print and still couldn't find it. 👎 Edit: I found it! After AN HOUR of vigilant searching. I found that the delete button isn't in the app. You have to go on the website or some nonsense like that and it couldn't be further out of the way! The link I was sent did not send me to the correct location which is why it was such a nightmare experience! X.X
